The property has its own coffee house and bar, which is where most of the day quietly begins and ends. It is a simple seaside setup rather than a restaurant: coffee in the morning, something cold in the afternoon, and a relaxed drink once the light drops over the Ionian. You can sit with it in the garden, on the terrace, or take it back up to the balcony.

Greek coffee habits are slow here, and nobody rushes you through them. The coffee house on site covers the first hours of the day, from the early swimmers who come back up wet from the water to the guests who only surface once the sun is well over the terrace. It pairs naturally with a kitchenette breakfast you have put together yourself upstairs, since every apartment has a kitchenette and dining area. There is no breakfast buffet and no fixed breakfast service, which most guests find they prefer: you eat when you are hungry, on your own balcony, with the Ionian in front of you rather than a dining room clock.

Drinks by the sea

The bar handles the easy part of the evening. It starts with something cold after the last swim of the afternoon, moves through fruit when the heat still makes a full meal feel like too much, and ends in the kind of long, unhurried conversation you tend to have with the family who run the property. Wine and champagne can be arranged for an extra charge if you are marking something, and the garden, terrace and outdoor furniture give you a choice of where to sit as the light drops over the water.

Because every apartment has a kitchenette and a dining area, most guests end up mixing three habits across a week. Simple meals get cooked in, using whatever the local shops and bakeries had that morning. Coffee and drinks get taken downstairs at the bar, where you do not need to plan anything or book a table. And when nobody feels like cooking, the cafes and tavernas around Vrachos are close enough to walk to, so a served dinner never turns into a logistical exercise with cars and transfers.
